Madison L. Braid, M.A.

Ms. Madison L. Braid, M.A., has recently joined our staff as clinical coordinator and psychotherapist, assisting in both the evaluation and treatment of our clinic’s clients. She completed her undergraduate degree in psychology at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, with a second major in Spanish earned at the Universidad de Salamanca in Spain, during which all of her classes were taught in Spanish. She went on to obtain her master’s degree in psychology at the University of Denver this past year. She has worked in outpatient and partial hospitalization settings with both children and adults and her training has focused on providing trauma-informed care through time-limited, short-term interventions. As well, she brings with her skills in crisis intervention, clinic management, program evaluation, and an interest in clinical outcome research.

Ms. Braid grew up in a small town in central Pennsylvania and has spent many years doing medical volunteer work in the rural regions of Honduras. Through this experience, she has developed a long-standing interest in different cultures, cultivating a background that allows her to bring an effective multicultural perspective to her work at the clinic. Her interests include travel, reading and creative writing, and caring for her dog Malcom, in the great outdoors.
